The World Cup has returned to Brazil for the first time since 1950, where the Brazilians were shocked by Uruguay at home and finished runner up. The thought of Brazil losing the World Cup at home again is far too shocking.
Group A
Brazil
Croatia
Mexico
Cameroon
You must pick 2 teams to advance to the World Cup Sweet 16. Surely Brazil will win the group. Who will finish second?
My heart is with the Croatians, I visited Zagreb, Split, and Hvar Island in the summer of 2012, it is a wonderful place with absolutely the most beautiful women I have ever seen and I made a friend on facebook from the country. However, Vatreni is going to be at the disadvantage for a couple of reasons. First, the heat and humidity of South America. Second, their first game is against host nation Brazil. My head tells me Mexico, with the experience of playing in the heat and humidity, and the very real scare of missing the World Cup all together (you’re welcome El Tri, the United States put you into the playoff with New Zealand), will have El Tri coming together at just the right time for World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Cameroon appears to have a lost a step with aging star Sameul Eto’o, and certainly are not the favorite amongst the African teams.
Croatia’s inability to put away Cameroon convincingly allows El Tri to advance to the World Cup 2014 Sweet 16.
