Well, the third week of University football in America has come to pass and as I’ve stated before, this season is all about watching Alabama drive for an unprecedented third straight national championship and fourth in five years. Even more amazing is the national championship trophy hasn’t left the state of Alabama in 5 years as Auburn’s championship sandwiched two of Alabama’s.
Standing in the way of Alabama is the University of Oregon Ducks. Their dismantling of the University of Tennessee 59-13 is nothing but impressive and this guy is putting up crazy numbers, completing 60% of his passes, hasn’t thrown an interception, and has 262 yards rushing with 4 TDs on the ground while throwing for 7 TDs. 1200 yards of offense and 11 TDs in 3 games. Those are Heisman numbers. And they look like a national championship team. Opposed to Ohio State, who at 3-0 hasn’t done much to impress voters, slipping from being 2nd ranked to currently being 4th ranked. Its what happens when you beat Buffalo 42-20 and California 52-34. The scores should be more impressive, see Oregon.
Alabama won an SEC road game 49-42 against a Top 10 team. Perhaps they were exposed on film. We shall see, next up for Alabama, in Week #5, at home against a surprising Ole Miss team. It’s never easy in the SEC.
